As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the whirlwind that has been Elisabeth Shell Events. Every wedding I’ve had the honour to coordinate has brought its own magic, challenges, and unforgettable moments. From the joyous chaos of on-the-day coordination to the quiet, tender moments that no one but the couple and I witness, it’s been a journey that has filled my heart—and my calendar—to the brim.
Weddings are pure storytelling. They’re about two people, their journey, and the unique way they choose to share it with their loved ones. Every detail matters, and my job has always been to make sure the day flows seamlessly so that each couple can soak up the moments they’ll treasure forever. It’s work that I’ve loved since the very beginning, but it’s also work that demands so much of me.
I won’t sugarcoat it: wedding planning and event management is intense. The long hours, constant problem-solving, and being the calm in every storm—it’s all part of the job, but it leaves little room for anything else. There have been weeks when my diary was overflowing with back-to-back weddings, late-night timelines, and early morning venue checks. It’s rewarding beyond words but has also taught me the importance of finding balance.
This year, I’ve found myself craving that balance more than ever. I’ve started spending more time outdoors, walking the moors, hiking in the rain, and finding a deeper connection with nature. And somewhere in the middle of those muddy boots and misty skies, a seed of an idea took root.
I’m not quite ready to share all the details yet, but I’m so excited to tell you that a new adventure is on the horizon. It’s called Solace & Sky—a project that combines my passion for wild places, mindfulness, and personal renewal. While this isn’t the official launch post (that’s coming soon!), I wanted to share that it’s been inspired by my own need to slow down, reconnect, and embrace a different kind of beauty.
This doesn’t mean my love for Elisabeth Shell Events has faded. Quite the opposite—I owe so much to this business. It’s been the foundation of everything I’ve learned about creating meaningful experiences, supporting people through life-changing moments, and juggling about a thousand things at once with a smile on my face. Weddings will always hold a special place in my heart, and I’m endlessly grateful to the incredible couples who’ve trusted me with their day.
But as one chapter evolves into another, I feel the pull of the next part of my journey. Solace & Sky will be a space for transformation and connection, rooted in the wild landscapes that inspire me daily. It’s a leap into something new, and like every great love story, it’s thrilling, nerve-wracking, and absolutely worth it.
So, as I wrap up another incredible year with Elisabeth Shell Events, I want to say thank you—for your support, your trust, and the joy you’ve brought into my life. Here’s to all the celebrations yet to come and the exciting adventures waiting just beyond the horizon.
